Project "Digital Heritage -citizens tell city history" at the History Museum "Hornmoldhaus" in Bietigheim-Bissingen

In collaboration with the 'Stadtmuseum Hornmoldhaus' in southwest Germany we created short videos that capture personal stories of people living in Bietigheim-Bissingen. Over a course of eight weeks six stories were developed. They range from a story about school education in the 1930'ies to a story about a trip of the city orchestra to the US in 2011.
The stories show how Digital Storytelling can draw a bow between personal and local history. It preserves experiences that otherwise would have been lost. Watch as an example the compelling story of a young boy during World War II.
